Olean General Hospital welcomes a new general surgeon, Dr. Robert Jones, to the Upper Allegheny Health System network of physicians in the region.

A state proposal would reduce restrictions in how physician assistants practice.

Though systems and hospitals saw significant financial improvements last year, it's uncertain whether that will continue into the new year.

It comes as no surprise that the COVID pandemic was a costly one for healthcare facilities across the region.
