We Are Kaleida Health

Donald Boyd was named president and chief executive officer for Kaleida Health in July 2022. He most recently served as president and chief operating officer. During his time as COO, he also led Kaleida Health's award-winning and well documented response to COVID-19.

Prior to that, Boyd was executive vice president of business development for Kaleida Health, a role he held for 10 years. He built and grew numerous partnership and affiliations along the way, including Great Lakes Integrated Network, Upper Allegheny Health System, Brooks/TLC Hospital System Inc., Western New York Urology, Great Lakes Cancer Care Collaborative and more.

Boyd's move into business development and operational integration came after his stint as president at Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital. In that role, he helped lead the hospital's growth, particularly in the vascular service lines such as cardiac, stroke and vascular surgery plus the integration efforts for what is now the Gates Vascular Institute.

A Williamsville resident, Boyd has been with Kaleida Health since its inception in 1998. He previously served as vice president for ambulatory services and business development, director of ambulatory services, manager of quality improvement and director of Kaleida Health's ambulatory surgery center in Williamsville.

He has a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in corporate finance and healthcare systems management, from the University at Buffalo (UB). He also holds a Bachelor of Arts in community mental health and psychology from UB.

An HR veteran with 31 years of experience, Dr. Barrett came to Kaleida Health from BJC HealthCare, one of the largest nonprofit integrated academic healthcare systems in the United States, providing services in the greater St. Louis, southern Illinois and southeast Missouri regions. With net revenues of $6 billion and more than 30,000 employees, BJC includes 15 hospitals and multiple community health locations.

There, Dr. Barrett served as regional vice president of human resources, where he led HR business partners and employee relations for three academic hospitals with $3.4B revenue, 1,760 beds, and 14,000 caregivers, including 4,200 registered nurses.

Dr. Barrett's previous executive HR roles included associate vice president of human resources and talent management at University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB Health) in Galveston, TX; associate vice chancellor of human resources at University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester, MA; and associate vice president of human resources at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. Barrett received his bachelor's degree from the University of Georgia, his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, and his Doctor of Education in Adult Education from the University of Georgia. He is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and Certified Compensation Professional (CCP).

Kelly Corbi, MBA, was named executive vice president and chief operating officer (COO) for Kaleida Health effective November 2024.

In this role, she is responsible for the health system’s delivery of care overseeing operations of five hospitals, long-term care facilities, home care division, laboratories, surgery centers, clinics, ambulatory sites, as well as lead system integration efforts and service lines.

Corbi previously served as president of MelroseWakefield Hospital and Lawrence Memorial Hospital, including serving as CEO of the Lawrence Memorial Regis College School of Nursing, and executive vice president for Tufts Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, a $2 billion academic medicine and community health system with 13,000 employees, a network of more than 2,000 physicians and 1,165 licensed beds.

She is committed to supporting the community and improving access to care demonstrated by her experience in growing services, creating operational efficiencies, and building a culture of collaboration. During her tenure, she led significant growth in clinical programs including neurosciences, cardiovascular and maternity services, as well as partnered with Tufts Medical Center physician leaders to build tertiary-level clinical services in the community.

Prior to that, Corbi was system COO and executive vice president for SolutionHealth, the largest health system in southern New Hampshire. There she led system integration efforts and achieved $45 million in system financial improvements over three years in support of clinical investments for growth and strengthened services. She also held previous leadership roles as senior vice president and chief system integration officer at LifeBridge Health in Baltimore, Maryland, and chief administrative officer at Meritus Health in Hagerstown, Maryland.

She received her Bachelor of Science in labor and industrial relations from Pennsylvania State University and her Master of Business Administration from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

Matthew Drake, MBA, CMA, FHFMA, was named executive vice president of strategy and partnerships in August 2023.

Drake previously served as chief financial officer (CFO) for Kaleida Health since April 2022. He served as the interim CFO since November 2021. As part of his CFO role, Drake was overseeing the organization’s business development efforts.

In his current role, Drake is focused on strategy, growth and relationships for the organization. He continues to be a lead partner with Great Lakes Integrated Network as well as ECMC, UBMD, insurance companies as well as other community partners, affiliates and joint ventures.

Drake was recruited to Kaleida Health early in 2021 to serve as vice president and CFO for site financial operations. In this role, he had overall financial leadership for the various operating entities and divisions within Kaleida Health, working to ensure overall financial performance and operational targets. He also was responsible for developing and implementing the operational plan that drives the annual budget process.

Drake came to Kaleida Health from Rochester Regional Health, where he served as vice president of business development and network growth. As the business development leader of the $2.9 billion health system, Drake led efforts to expand the network of providers, hospitals, ambulatory destination campuses and urgent care centers.

He also led the planning and implementation of five ambulatory destination campuses; business planning process for a 3-hospital health system acquisition; and acquisition of 80 practices, representing 140 physicians and 86 advanced practice providers.

Previous roles at Rochester Regional Health included: vice president of accountable care, Greater Rochester IPA (GRIPA); director of finance, population health and business planning; director of financial planning and decision support; manager of financial systems, planning and decision support; and project and cost manager. Prior to joining Rochester Regional Health, Drake was a revenue management analyst at Excellus Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Rochester.

Drake has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Master of Business Administration from Alfred University. He is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (FHFMA) and is a member of the Healthcare Financial Management Association (HFMA) and the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA).

Michael Mineo, MD, was appointed chief medical officer (CMO) for Kaleida Health in July 2022 after serving in the interim role since March 2022.

A resident of Buffalo, Dr. Mineo received his Bachelor of Science from Canisius College. He is a graduate of University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where he completed residency in Emergency Medicine. He is a board-certified emergency medicine physician and holds a master's degree from Carnegie Mellon University.

He serves as an assistant clinical professor of Emergency Medicine for the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UB.

Jamie Nadler, MD, was named chief quality officer for Kaleida Health in March 2022.

Dr. Nadler leads quality and patient safety for the entire organization as well as ensures continuous quality of care, patient satisfaction and compliance with various accrediting organizations and regulatory bodies.

In addition, he leads the development and implementation of quality/safety programs, policies, practices and protocols; oversees and facilitates clinical improvement projects; maintains the Kaleida Health Quality Improvement and Patient Safety Plan; and formulates organization-wide strategies to address emerging safety concerns in conjunction with risk management, medical staff leadership and other key stakeholders at all sites and across the continuum of care.

Dr. Nadler, a pulmonary and critical care medicine specialist and assistant professor of medicine at the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, previously served as medical director of quality and patient safety for Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute.

Marjorie Quint-Bouzid, DPA, RN, NEA-BC, was named chief nurse executive for Kaleida Health in May 2023.

In this role, Dr. Quint-Bouzid has oversight for nursing across the entire organization.

Dr. Quint-Bouzid joined Kaleida Health from Parkland Health & Hospital System – an integrated health system with an 882-bed acute care hospital and outpatient health centers located throughout Dallas County, Texas.

At Parkland, Dr. Quint-Bouzid served as senior vice president, Women and Infants Specialty Health (WISH) administrator, where she had clinical and operational oversight for the delivery of safe quality patient care for annual volumes representing over 12,500 deliveries, over 1,400 NICU discharges, over 24,000 women’s emergency visits, and 260,000 outpatient visits.

During her tenure at Parkland, Dr. Quint-Bouzid also implemented a staffing stabilization program to reduce turnover; developed and implemented a leadership succession plan to grow and promote internal candidates for leadership positions; developed and implemented the first nurse leader onboarding tool; and helped create initiatives that improved throughput, increased volumes and fostered community partnerships.

As a community healthcare administrator at Parkland Health, she co-sponsored and developed Parkland’s Extending Maternal Care After Pregnancy (eMCAP) program. This program subsequently has been awarded the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Challenge Award for innovation in postpartum care and the 2022 John Eisenberg Award (TJC & IHI) for local innovation in patient safety and quality.

Dr. Quint-Bouzid previously served as vice president patient care services and chief nursing officer at Fort Washington Medical Center in Fort Washington, MD; senior director women’s and children’s & cancer services at Inova Alexandria Hospital in Alexandria, VA; and director of perinatal nursing services at Grady Health System in Atlanta, GA. She also held various other nursing and leadership roles earlier in her career.

She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from D’Youville University in Buffalo, Master of Public Administration from Troy State University in Troy, AL, and Doctor of Public Administration from Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives Member and the National Association of Health Services Executives.

Kenneth Snyder, MD, PhD, is chief physician quality officer for Kaleida Health.

In this role, Dr. Snyder oversees physician quality and leads Kaleida Health's Quality & Patient Safety Institute, an organization-wide commitment and shared ownership of patient and employee safety, health and wellness. The goal of the Quality & Patient Safety Institute is to create a path to zero harm while strengthening our quality performance, driving excellence in quality and safety across the system, and being the leader in equitable delivery of care and wellness.

Prior to this role, Dr. Snyder served as physician advisor, process improvement at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, and is an assistant professor of neurosurgery, radiology, and neurology at the State University of New York at Buffalo.

Alyson Spaulding, Esq., was named general counsel for Kaleida Health in March 2015. In this role, Spaulding is responsible for providing primary legal counsel for Kaleida Health and its corporate affiliates. In addition, she oversees Risk Management, Emergency Management, Internal Audit and Corporate Compliance, and Research Management.

Spaulding served as interim general counsel since August 2014. Prior to that, she was associate general counsel, Corporate Risk Management, where she directed Kaleida Health's risk management, emergency management and regulatory affairs functions, in addition to overseeing the commercial insurance portfolio and legal services related to professional and general liability.

Spaulding, who has been with Kaleida Health since its inception, obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Rochester where she completed a double major, and her Juris Doctor degree from Syracuse University College of Law, where she was a member of both the Law Review and Moot Court.

Courtney Lewis Starnes joined Kaleida Health as senior vice president and chief information officer in November 2023.

An experienced healthcare leader with an extensive information technology background, she joined Kaleida Health from Saint Luke’s Health System, an integrated health system with 14 hospitals and campuses, and nearly 200 clinics serving the greater Kansas City Metro Region. There, she served as associate chief information officer since 2018. Prior to that, she was senior director of information services program management for Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, a position she accepted after 12 years with Cerner Corporation, provider of Kaleida Health’s electronic medical record.

Starnes has a proven record of success leading initiatives and organization-wide transformation in an ever-changing healthcare environment. She emphasizes people leadership, partnering with stakeholders and driving collaborative change to improve health outcomes and clinician and patient satisfaction.

Karen Blount, MS, RN, NEA-BC, was appointed president of Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute in October 2025. She served as interim president of BGMC/GVI since May 2025, after rejoining Kaleida Health in January 2023 to lead the integration, alignment and operational improvement of perioperative services across Kaleida Health.

Blount has more than 30 years of hospital and health plan experience with previous leadership functions at academic medical centers, women and children’s hospitals and health plan facilities. She was a former hospital president, Magnet chief nursing executive, health plan vice president and served as a healthcare consultant leading transformations at major health systems.

She began her nursing career at the former Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo in 1981 as a staff nurse in Emergency Services. She elevated her way through various nursing leadership positions all the way up to president of the hospital from 1997 to 2003.

Blount holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from D’Youville University, a Master of Science in Nursing from the University at Buffalo, and is a pediatric nurse practitioner. She serves as treasurer of the Buffalo Prenatal-Perinatal Network Board of Directors.

Michael Beecher, MD, was named chief medical officer of Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI) in July 2022.

In this role, which he held on an interim basis since June 2022, Dr. Beecher will oversee day-to-day medical affairs at BGMC/GVI.

Working with service line leaders, administration and nursing leadership, he will ensure the hospital is operating efficiently, including things such as the operating rooms, length of stay, patient access, residency programs and more.

Board certified in internal medicine, Dr. Beecher was the director of hospitalist services at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital as well as chief medical officer for Infinity Medical of WNY. In addition, he served as president of Kaleida Health's Medical/Dental Staff and as a member of the Kaleida Health Board of Directors from 2020-2022. Prior to being elected president of the Medical/Dental Staff, he spent 10 years serving as an elected member of the Medical Executive Committee.

Dr. Beecher graduated from the University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in 1996 where he also completed his residency in internal medicine and pediatrics in 2000. Dr. Beecher was the chief medical resident at Buffalo General Medical Center from 1999-2000.

Barbara Kuppel, BSN, MS, RN, was named vice president and chief nursing officer of Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI) in December 2022.

As vice president and CNO, Kuppel develops and implements clinical practice guidelines and quality indicators, plus oversees nursing strategies and policies, all with a focus on delivering the highest quality care to our patients.

Kuppel has been with Kaleida Health for over 30 years, most recently serving as the chief quality and patient safety officer for BGMC/GVI since 2017. She spent 25 years at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo rising through the nurse leadership ranks. Starting out as a staff nurse, then clinical nurse educator, nurse supervisor and nurse manager. She also worked with Risk Management as a regulatory compliance specialist and has spent the last seven years leading the Quality and Infection Prevention Teams at BGMC/GVI.

Kuppel graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University at Buffalo School of Nursing and received a master’s degree in Health Services Administration from D'Youville University. She is also a Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality and was named Nurse of Distinction for BGMC/GVI in 2018.

Christopher Moden, MBA, BSN, RN, was named chief quality and patient safety officer of Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI) in February 2022.

In this role, Moden is responsible for the hospital’s Quality and Patient Safety Program. This includes delivery of excellence in the provision of care by leading system-wide approaches that support evidenced-based best practices, culture of safety, regulatory compliance, accreditation, processes, and policies that lead to improved clinical outcomes.

Moden started his career with Kaleida Health at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in 2005 as nurse manager of the emergency department. He was promoted to director of emergency services in 2015 and later was named interim chief nursing officer from 2017-2018. Moden moved over to BGMC/GVI in 2018 as director of critical care and nursing operations and was senior director of clinical operations from 2021-2023.

Moden received his Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen College and a MBA from St. Bonaventure University. He is a member of the Advisory Board of the Emergency Medical Department Paramedic Program, ConnectLife Organ Medical Advisory Committee and Mercy Flight Board of Directors. He was named Nurse of Distinction in 2009.

Judy Baumgartner was appointed president of DeGraff Medical Park and Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital in August 2020. She also has oversight of Kaleida Health Laboratories.

She has been with Kaleida Health for nearly 30 years, and she previously served as the president of the Visiting Nursing Association (VNA) of Western New York.

Baumgartner began her career as a staff accountant with the Children's Hospital of Buffalo in 1992. She later served as the director of operations and the director of reimbursement at Children's Hospital Home Care. Judy joined the VNA in 1998 and served as director of finance before being promoted to chief operating officer in 1998 and then president in 2010.

During her time with the VNA, Baumgartner led the organization through a remarkable transformation with record growth, numerous national quality and patient satisfaction achievements, relocation to a new headquarters plus geographical expansion across Western New York and into Pennsylvania. In addition to this, she also had corporate oversight of the Kaleida Health Laboratories as well as the organization's inpatient and outpatient pharmacy programs.

Baumgartner holds a Masters of Business Administration in healthcare systems from the University at Buffalo, and a bachelor's degree in accounting from St. Bonaventure University.

Raheel Ahmad, DO, was named CMO of Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital (MFSH) and DeGraff Medical Park (DMP) in July 2022, a role he held on an interim basis beginning March 2022. Dr. Ahmad is responsible for day-to-day physician leadership, quality and operations needs at MFSH and DMP.

Since 2014, he has been working with Infinity Medical of WNY, a hospitalist group, providing inpatient services at MFSH. Dr. Ahmad served as the MFSH site director for the group since August 2016.

Dr. Ahmad received his DO from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at the University at Buffalo in 2012.

David J. DiBacco was named chief operating officer (COO) for Kaleida Health's northtowns facilities which include Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and DeGraff Medical Park.

DiBacco joined Kaleida Health in August 2018 and brings more than 30 years of experience in the health care industry into his new role. DiBacco has served as the interim Chief Executive Officer at Eastern Niagara Hospital (ENH) since May 2018 and previously held the COO position there since 2004. Prior to joining ENH, he served in senior leadership and operations positions at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and Mt. St. Mary's Hospital.

A resident of Lewiston, DiBacco holds two bachelor's degrees from Niagara University, one in accounting and one in business/commerce. He is active in the Niagara County community, volunteering his time with various community, business and sports organizations.

Mallory C. Edwards, PA-C, DMSc, was named chief quality and safety officer at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and DeGraff Medical Park in September 2024.

In this role, Edwards is responsible for the Quality and Patient Safety Program at the site level. This includes leading system-wide approaches in evidence-based best practices and compliance with accreditation and compliance organizations that improve clinical outcomes.

Edwards has served as a critical care physician assistant (PA) at Buffalo General Medical Center and lead virtual advanced practice provider (APP) with Biofourmis, Inc. since 2018. In addition, she’s a co-founder of Avail Health Inc. and has been providing healthcare consultant services to organizations developing efficient workflows, enhancing patient outcomes and optimizing clinical operations that include Early Discharge Programs, Remote Patient Monitoring, Patient Center Medical Home, Transitional Care Management and Chronic Care Management programs.

Edwards earned her Doctor of Medical Science degree with a concentration in administration from the University of Lynchburg, a master’s degree in health science and physician assistant Studies from Cuyahoga Community College/Cleveland State University, and a bachelor’s degree in exercise from the University of Toledo. She is currently an executive member of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a member of the APP Committee, Peer Review Committee and a PA representative for the APP Council at Kaleida Health, as well co-chair of the Governance Committee for NYS Society of PAs.

Tammy Hibbert, MS, BSN, RN, has been named chief nursing officer (CNO) at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital (MFSH) and DeGraff Medical Park (DMP). She has served as interim CNO since December 2024.

Hibbert previously served as director of perioperative services at MFSH, where she oversaw all perioperative departments, including Pre-admission Testing, Operating Room, GI and Urology, Minor Procedures, Sterile Processing and the Surgical Care Unit.

Other previous roles included director of nursing at MFSH, nurse manager of 2 North telemetry unit and interim manager in several inpatient units. She began her nursing career at MFSH as a staff nurse in 2002.

Hibbert holds a Master of Science in Executive Leadership and Change and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen University. She is a member of numerous committees and professional organizations, including American Nurses Association and Organization of Nurse Executives and Leaders.

Stephen J. Turkovich, MD, was named president of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo in November 2022.

As president, Dr. Turkovich leads one of only 43 freestanding hospitals in the United States and the only freestanding children's hospital in New York State. He is responsible for managing daily hospital operations, including clinical, ancillary and support services, community physician relations, all off-site pediatric and obstetric primary clinics, adherence to all regulatory requirements to maintain the Pediatric Level I Trauma program, the Regional Perinatal Center of WNY and the Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

Dr. Turkovich previously served as chief medical officer of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo and Maternal & Child Health, where he lead Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo's day-to-day medical affairs and physician leaders, as well as its associated ambulatory enterprise to promote growth of service lines and, in particular, its relationship with physicians at the University at Buffalo (UB) and in the community.

Dr. Turkovich served as vice president and chief medical officer at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo from July 2014 to September 2021. Prior to that, he was quality and patient safety officer and the co-medical director of the newborn nursery.

Dr. Turkovich received his Bachelor of Arts in anthropology as well as his medical degree from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Rochester, Golisano Children's Hospital at Strong. He currently serves as a clinical assistant professor of pediatrics for UB.

Dr. Turkovich has won numerous awards and honors, including the Business First "Healthcare 50" designation and the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences "Medical Alumni Award for Community Service and Commitment." He is a fellow in the American Academy of Pediatrics and member of Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

A Western New York native, Dr. Turkovich lives in Buffalo with his husband and two sons.

In this role, Jessica is responsible for the daily operations of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo and our ambulatory centers. Through collaboration with physician and administrative leaders, Mabie works to advance growth initiatives, operational improvements, efficient and effective resource utilization and allocation, and further our mission to advance the health of our community. She helps enable a seamless journey of care for our patients throughout our health system focused on quality and safety, patient experience, access, efficiency and collaboration.

Previously, Jessica served as senior director of hospital operations for OCH, as well as director of strategic planning and implementation. She played a vital role as project director in the relocation of Women & Children's Hospital of Buffalo to the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus, planning and coordinating every detail of the $272 million move.

Prior to joining Kaleida Health in 2015, Jessica served as director of the orthopedic service line at North Shore-Long Island Jewish Health System where she led hospital-based orthopedic administrators toward the continual building of a cohesive and comprehensive service line across 12 hospitals, and cultivated the development of an Orthopedic Institute within a comprehensive product line.

Jessica received a Bachelor of Arts in Health and Human Services with Distinction from the University at Buffalo and went on to receive a master's degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. In 2019, she was recognized by Buffalo Business First 40 Under 40. She is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives and alumni of Leadership Buffalo.

Dori Marshall, MD, was named the chief medical officer of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo in August 2023.

A board-certified psychiatrist, Dr. Marshall graduated from the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at the University at Buffalo where she then completed her residency in psychiatry. She is currently an associate professor of psychiatry and has held several leadership positions including medical director of the Adolescent Unit at ECMC, director of inpatient psychiatry and associate chief of service at ECMC, president of the UBMD Governing Board, and associate dean and director of medical admissions at the Jacobs School of Medicine.

In this role, Dr. Marshall oversees the medical affairs of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo and its pediatric and women’s health ambulatory clinical centers. Through collaboration with nursing and administrative leaders, she cultivates a culture of quality and safety, inclusion, efficiency, and patient and family-centered care. Her clinical expertise in treating adolescents and young adults with mental health challenges enables her to lead the integration of mental and behavioral health services into the pediatric and women’s health service lines at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

In 2022, Dr. Marshall received the Faculty Award of Excellence for promoting inclusion and cultural diversity. She is also the recipient of the Leonard Tow 2018 Humanism in Medicine Award and a Jacobs School of Medicine Siegel Teaching Award. She is a member of Gold Humanism Honor Society. Dr. Marshall has served on the ECMC Physician Wellness Committee and provided psychiatric support to the Kaleida Health and ECMC COVID-19 Warmline.

Christina Mills, BSN, MBA, RN, CNOR was named chief nursing officer of Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo (GCH Buffalo) in September 2022.

Mills, who has been a nurse for 10 years, was recruited to Kaleida Health in 2018 as manager and promoted to director in 2019. She has been instrumental in the WHO checklist roll out at OCH and has had a leadership role for the NYS Clinical Staffing Committee that has been working collaboratively with management, front line staff and SEIU leadership to define safe staffing ratios. In addition, she co-leads on the OCH Surgical Executive Committee and leads the perioperative nursing teams across the system in ensuring policies and practices adhere to the best evidence available.

A certified OR nurse, Mills holds a Master of Business Administration from D'Youville University and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Daemen in Buffalo.

Pamela Trevino, PhD, RN, was named Chief Quality and Safety Officer for Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo in April 2018.

In her new role, Trevino is responsible for implementing unique and varied initiatives aimed at improving patient care quality, leading continuous improvement programs and engaging leaders and care providers to make the necessary changes to promote a safer environment for the patients, staff and visitors at Golisano Children's Hospital of Buffalo.

Trevino has over 20 years of pediatric nursing experience in settings across the US, and has a passion for improving patient care and health outcomes. Trevino was most recently the Clinical Risk Management, Patient Safety, and Quality Improvement Director at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She has been involved with multiple large, pediatric quality and patient safety collaboratives and is currently a national subject matter expert on event classification and cause analysis for the Children's Hospital's Solutions for Patient Safety and a member of the Child Health PSO Patient Safety Team.

She received her Bachelor of Science in nursing from Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN and her Doctor of Philosophy in nursing from the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences Graduate School in Little Rock, AR.

Lisa Greisler was appointed president of the VNA in August 2020. Greisler most recently served as the vice president, chief operating officer of the VNA since 2013. Prior to that role, she served as the lead clinical manager of the VNA since 1996.

She has a Bachelor of Science in nursing from the University at Buffalo.

Sarah Sweeney was named vice president chief operating officer in February 2025. In this role, Sweeney will be responsible for the clinical and operational direction for nursing, rehabilitation, home health and other services. In addition, she will provide oversight for overall VNA operating functions with particular focus on analysis and synthesis of data trends to forecast and support strategic business direction. Prior to this role Sweeney served as director of clinical operations for the Erie County branch of the VNA.

Sweeney joined the VNA in 2007 as a physical therapist and has held other roles as rehab therapy coordinator and rehab manager during her tenure at the VNA. Prior to joining the VNA, she worked at Univera Home Care and Excelsior Orthopedics. She has a Master of Science in Physical Therapy from D'Youville College.
