Frequently Asked Questions
We recommend starting routine gynecologic visits at age 18, or earlier if you have specific health concerns. Early visits help establish a relationship with your provider and ensure timely preventive care.
Most patients benefit from an annual exam, but your provider may recommend more frequent visits based on your health, family history or risk factors.
Your provider will review your health history, discuss symptoms or concerns, perform necessary exams or screenings and provide guidance on reproductive, sexual or pelvic health.
Yes. Gynecologic care includes preventive health, menstrual management, reproductive guidance and overall wellness—not just sexual health.
Not always. Many conditions are managed with preventive care, medication, therapy or minimally invasive procedures. Surgery is considered when it is the best option for your health and recovery.
