Kaleida Health is proud to be the first hospital system to earn a system-wide DNV sterile processing certification.

The program honors healthcare organizations across the country dedicated to improving the safety and effectiveness of vascular care through participation and engagement in VQI’s carotid artery stenting and carotid endarterectomy registries. 

Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI) has received the American Heart Association’s Get With The Guidelines® - Stroke GoldPlus quality achievement award for its commitment to ensuring stroke patients receive the most appropriate treatment.

This marks the seventh year in a row Buffalo General Medical Center has been recognized as a Best Hospital by U.S. News & World Report.

The Society for Vascular Surgery’s Vascular Quality Initiative has awarded Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute the highest number of stars for its active participation in the Registry Participation Program.

Kaleida Health is one of 462 healthcare facilities nationwide earning the “LGBTQ+ Healthcare Equality High Performer” designation.
