Food and Nutrition Services

The Food and Nutrition Services department at Kaleida Health provides personalized nutrition education and counseling. We teach people the skills they need to manage their nutrition care wisely.

Nutrition counseling can help lower your chances of developing health problems by adopting a healthy lifestyle and improving your nutrition to reduce the risk factors that lead to illness.

What to Expect

Registered dietitians offer professional guidance and instruction tailored to your specific needs. A physician referral is required before your first visit.

Initial Visit

A comprehensive nutrition assessment is completed. We develop a nutrition care plan based on what you are currently eating and the changes needed to adopt a healthy lifestyle, then discuss it with you.

Follow Up Visits

Your registered dietitian measures your progress, reviews what you have learned, adjusts your meal plan, and provides additional information to help you keep up your healthy lifestyle.
