The care we provide
Electrophysiology Studies
An electrophysiology study is a test where doctors gently guide thin wires into your heart to map its electrical signals and find the cause of abnormal heart rhythms. Results help to diagnose and guide treatment going forward.
Cardiac Ablations
Kaleida Health providers offer multiple ablation procedures to treat heart rhythms, including Radio Frequency Ablation, Atrial Fibrillation Ablation and Pulsed-Field Ablations, a new, state-of-the-art treatment that has significantly improved outcomes for patients with abnormal heart rhythms. Kaleida Health is the only provider in Western New York to offer Pulsed-Field Ablations for heart rhythm disorders.
Implantable devices
Devices like pacemakers and implantable cardioverter defibrillators (ICDs) are placed under the skin to help keep your heart beating at a safe, steady rhythm by sending electrical signals when needed. Follow-up for these procedures is provided at all our GVI locations, including Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and Olean General Hospital.
