Thank You for IT Response
As you all know by now, Kaleida Health was initially impacted by Crowdstrike’s global IT outage during the overnight shift.
When we became aware of this we activated our internal incident command center to ensure that we can maintain operations while this external third party resolves its own IT issues.
To that end, we implemented our computer “down time” procedures to ensure the very best and safe patient care. This, by the way, was all happening as the night shift was ending and the morning shift was beginning. Thanks to you it was, for the most part, business as usual at Kaleida Health! There was little to no interruption for our patients and our clinical staff has navigated the challenge with one thing in mind: taking care of our patients.
Throughout this morning our IT team and operational leaders – from Buffalo to Bradford, Pa. – continue to do an incredible job bringing our computer systems back online. It is times like these that make me so proud to be on YOUR team! From our frontline clinical staff to our Emergency Management and Security teams – and everyone in between – your response has been phenomenal. We cannot thank you enough.
