Shari Kohut Retires After 44-Years of Service

Congratulations to Shari Kohut, medical technician at the Center for Laboratory Medicine, on her retirement. Shari is retiring after a 44-year career that touched three Kaleida Health facilities.

She started her laboratory career at the former Women and Children's Hospital of Buffalo (WCHOB) core lab in 1979. During her years of service, Shari worked in the WCHOB GI laboratory from 1981-1988, in the Purchasing Department from 1988-1992 and then moved to an immunology research position with Dr. Kathleen O’Neil from 1992-1993. From there she returned to the GI Laboratory, and later moved to the former Buffalo General Hospital. Finally, she came to work at the Center for Laboratory Medicine, on Flint Road.

In retirement, Shari will be spending time with her family, especially her grandson Silvio and her cat Loki. She plans to enjoy her time crocheting and reading as well.
