Scinto Named Interim Chief Operating Officer of BGMC/GVI

Jeanne Scinto, PhD, MPH, FACHE, has been named interim chief operating officer of Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute (BGMC/GVI).

In her new role, Scinto will be responsible for the daily operations of BGMC/GVI. Through collaboration with physician and administrative leaders, Scinto will advance growth initiatives, operational improvements, efficient and effective resource utilization and allocation, and further our mission to advance the health of our community. She will enable a seamless journey of care for our patients throughout our health system focused on quality and safety, patient experience, access, efficiency and collaboration.

Prior to joining Kaleida Health, Scinto – through AMN Healthcare and B.E. Smith – served as interim chief operating officer at several healthcare institutions, including Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, GA, Trinity Health-MercyOne Health System in Des Moines, IA, and Trinity Health-Mount Carmel Health System in Columbus, OH. She is also the founder and CEO of Health Care Transformations Group, LLC, which provides professional advice, recommendations and leadership to clients on strategy and execution, business transformation, integration, culture change, operational excellence and consumer engagement. 

Scinto earned a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from Yale University School of Medicine. She also received her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Yale University Graduate School.
