Reminder Regarding Uninterrupted Lunch Period

The VNA Human Resources Department would like to remind employees that per the New York State Department of Labor, employees who work a shift of more than six hours must have an uninterrupted lunch period of at least half an hour between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. or mid-shift for those working a shift other than 8 a.m.- 4:30 p.m.

As professional employees, it is your responsibility to ensure that you take your lunch break daily. If there are issues preventing this from occurring it is your responsibility to contact your manager to make arrangements for your daily lunch break.
