National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to honor the volunteers who generously give their time, talent and support to important causes in their community.
'Ordinary People with Extraordinary Hearts'

The theme of this year’s Kaleida Health Volunteer Week is “Ordinary People with Extraordinary Hearts.” At Kaleida Health, about 360 volunteers lead with CARE, serving as an essential touch point for patients and visitors, and helping staff throughout the organization. In 2022, Kaleida Health volunteers donated 48,814 hours, which equates to more than $1.4 million donated in dollars.
On Wednesday, April 19, Kaleida Health will host the annual volunteer luncheon to celebrate the organization’s many extraordinary volunteers. The luncheon is a way to highlight the commitment and dedication of Kaleida Health’s volunteers, and recognize the many ways they assist, comfort and support not only the staff and providers, but also the patients, family members and visitors at each site.
Their genuine acts of kindness, dedicated service and financial assistance help Kaleida Health and its staff continue to provide excellent care and service. Thank you to all Kaleida Heath volunteers whose selfless efforts and commitment to CARE make a difference for patients, family members and staff every day.
Be sure and show your gratitude to any volunteer you happen to see during National Volunteer Week!
Here are just some of the friendly people from around the system who volunteer to make Kaleida Health a happier, healthier, better place.
