Congratulations to Desiree Duman, clinical pharmacy coordinator in the inpatient pharmacy, who was named the Oishei Children’s Hospital Employee of the Month for March 2022.
Always an advocate, Desiree is never too busy to put patients and their families first. She's just as likely to be hugging a family member as she is to be contacting a clinical study PI for guidance on dosing or teaching a new patient a new regime.
She is meticulous in her attention to detail and knowing specific details about her patients' backgrounds and needs. She knows which kids will or won't tolerate which treatments. And if she tells you she will do something, she will.
Desiree is approachable and communicates well among all services. She is as compassionate as she is smart. In a word, she is indispensable to the inpatient hematology, oncology and pharmacy teams.
