Congratulations to David Patterson, patient support associate in the Transport Department for being selected as the 2022 Employee of the Year for Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital and DeGraff Medical Park.
In his initial nomination for Employee of the Month, his coworker wrote, "The patients always ask, Dave brought me down, can I get him on the return trip. He is always calming and his sense of humor puts patients at ease. Dave is the first one to ask if you need help when he is around. He takes extra time to make things right, regardless of the extra effort necessary, it is amazing. His integrity and the respect he gives to everyone, make Suburban a better place, for patients and co-workers. He is a joy to work with, and never loses sight of what is best for the patient!"
Dave's manager adds, "Dave Patterson is the MVP of the Transport Department. He is reliable, responsible, and truly cares about patients and his transport team. Dave’s work ethic is remarkable. He is truly the hardest working man I know. In addition to his role with transport, Dave has a full farm that he tends to before and after his workday, where he raises a variety of animals and grows a garden of vegetables. Dave is always one of the top performers in the department with his amount of completed jobs weekly. He is also the primary trainer in transport and even when he does not train the new hires, they seem to gravitate to him. Dave is admired by his colleagues for his work ethic and unwavering commitment to always doing the right thing for our patients. We talk about everyday heroes, people that just get the job done. The people that do not complain but always have a positive word to say. People that lead by their actions and not just words. Dave is the lead of transport not because of longevity but every day his hard work and moral compass is outstanding."
