Congratulations to Michele Williams, lead laboratory processor, Center for Laboratory Medicine. She is retiring after a 27-year career with Kaleida Health Laboratories.

Michele began her career at Kaleida Health in March of 1997 working second shift at Buffalo General Medical Center (BGMC) as a phlebotomist. Afterwards, she trained in processing full time at BGMC where she stayed until 2002. Michele then moved to processing at the Center for Laboratory Medicine on Flint Rd. In 2024, she became lead processor there until her recent retirement.
Michele has always been a wealth of information for both her peers and managers. She has always understood her role and what expectations were for her as a lead. Over the years, Michele has had a hand in training many new processors, and her day-to-day expertise will be greatly missed.
Michele said she has no immediate plans for her retirement but will be taking a more active role in the lives of her grandchildren and caring for her niece. She plans on future travel to Aruba and Jamaica.
We thank Michele for her years of service, and her commitment to providing exceptional care to our community. Best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement!
