Congratulations to Mickey Mariacher, director of construction management for Kaleida Health, who received the 2022 Joseph Siracuse Award at the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Buffalo/Western New York Service Awards this year.
Each year, the Joseph Siracuse Award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated the highest, most consistent and supportive professional relationship with the architectural community.
The jury was impressed not only by the robust list of Mickey's successful projects amounting to more than $800 million in construction value, but the personal testimonies of Mickey's impact on the WNY architecture, engineering and construction community.
“Architects cannot do great projects without great clients, and Mickey is exactly that type of client. She recognizes that the most successful projects come from empowering people to do their best work. I have had successful projects only because Mickey took a chance and hired me for that first project.” - Roxanne Button AIA, Design Synergies|Sustainability
