Congratulations to Margaret Pieczynski, clinical laboratory scientist, Buffalo General Medical Center blood bank. She is retiring after a 35-year career with Kaleida Health Laboratories.

Margaret Pieczynski is retiring July 1, 2025, after 35 years of service, all spent in the blood bank at Buffalo General Medical Center. Margaret is a calm presence, keeping her cool in emergency situations. Given her many years of experience, she is a great teacher to pathology residents, clinical laboratory students, new employees and colleagues. When asked a question, Marge’s responses are always thoughtful, accurate and thorough.
Marge cares about her co-workers and is the first to offer her colleagues help. Her signature phrase is “What do you need?” She frequently signed up for open shifts to assist her co-workers and never wanted to leave anyone short.
During retirement, Marge is looking forward to spending more time with family- her husband, her two daughters and her two grandchildren. She will be missed by everyone in the blood bank.
We thank Margaret for her years of service, and her commitment to providing exceptional care to our community. Best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement!
