Congratulations to Stephanie Rodriguez, critical care nurse at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, who was recently recognized for leading with CARE. Recipients of the Leading with CARE award exemplify Kaleida Health values in their daily work, and go above and beyond for their patients, families and coworkers.
Stephanie was nominated by a patient's family, who said:
We are writing to acknowledge one of your nurses for her outstanding service to our beloved family member. He was under the care of Stephanie during his last days. She was extremely skilled, and very caring to all of his needs. We knew that he was in very capable hands when we were unable to be there. That helped to ease our concerns. Stephanie gave us updated information about our loved one’s condition, and answered all of our questions. Her nursing care was exceptional. It was her compassion and caring that really meant so much to us. We were blessed to have Stephanie as his nurse.
