Congratulations to Martha Maloney, clinical laboratory scientist, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital who was recently recognized for leading with CARE. Recipients of the Leading with CARE award exemplify Kaleida Health values in their daily work, and go above and beyond for their patients, families and coworkers.
Martha was recognized for her willingness to help with projects and train new hires all while picking up extra shifts in the lab. "Martha has been with Kaleida Health for over 30 years and always has a positive attitude. She has been one of our main preceptors for new hires and they have mentioned several times what a great teacher she is. Martha is also one of the key operators for our new chemistry analyzers, and she has shown how dedicated she is to this project by coming in on her days off to receive training, as well as maintaining the new analyzers while covering her regular bench assignment. Martha also picks up several open shifts each week and has been instrumental to the lab being able to keep up with morning collection samples during staffing shortages. Her positive energy and willingness to help others has had a huge impact on our lab."
