Congratulations to Duriel Green, grill cook at Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute, who was recently recognized for leading with CARE. Recipients of the Leading with CARE award exemplify Kaleida Health values in their daily work, and go above and beyond for their patients, families and coworkers.
Duriel was nominated by a coworker, who said:
I just wanted to let you know about a great employee I recently encountered. I was standing in line at the deli counter and there was a visitor in line behind me in a motorized wheelchair who could not stand to order through the window. The gentleman working came out from behind the counter, got right level with the visitor, and went through all the options so she could order exactly what she wanted. He very well could’ve just asked her to yell louder so he could hear her, but instead he took the few extra minutes to meet the visitor's needs. I just thought that was great and deserving of recognition.
