Congratulations to Brenda Heitzenreiter, radiology technician, at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital who was recently recognized for leading with CARE. Brenda Heitzenreiter has been an x-ray tech at Millard Suburban for the last 16 years. When I started here 3 years ago, I immediately knew that she was one of the ones I could always count on. She takes on extra responsibilities like the lead aprons – there are over 500 lead aprons that need to be tagged and inspected every 6 months and she does it without hesitation. She makes sure that all of our patients are taken care of. Staff looks up to her and goes to her with questions and concerns. She is the first one to learn any new piece of equipment or protocol and is able to teach it back to the other techs. She is the tech that will train students and new staff and really takes ownership of the department. Brenda is reliable and a manager's dream.
