This week we celebrate Healthcare HR Week, sponsored by the American Society for Healthcare Human Resources Administration, I want to pause and recognize each of our HR professionals for the incredible work they do every day. This year’s theme—celebrating the people who bring compassion, community, and commitment to healthcare HR—could not be more fitting for our team.
At Kaleida Health, our mission is to advance the health of our community, and our vision calls us to provide compassionate, high‑value, quality care while improving health across Western New York and beyond. None of this is possible without our HR team. As HR professionals, they live our values by staying centered on patients and families, holding themselves and others accountable, demonstrating respect and integrity, and striving for excellence in all they do—often behind the scenes, but always with meaningful impact.
Our own HR mission—to engage, empower, and elevate our people as we provide high‑quality care to our community—comes to life through their dedication. We champion our culture, partner with operations on evidence‑based solutions, and deliver excellent service every day, especially during times of change and complexity. I am deeply grateful for our team's commitment, compassion, and belief in the power of people.
