Joyce Kawa, administrative assistant, Pathology Department, Essential Services Laboratory, Oishei Children's Hospital, is retiring after a 44-year career with Kaleida Health Laboratories.
Joyce began her career at Women and Children's Hospital when it was located on Bryant St., and stayed with the Pathology Team through the transition to the new Oishei Children's Hospital building. With her many years of experience, she became the go-to person for the Pathology Department in the Essential Services Laboratory. Joyce was always ready to assist with any project going on in the laboratory, and she kept a full dish of candy on her desk at all times for anyone who needed a piece.
In retirement, Joyce is looking forward to spending some relaxing time with her family. Congratulations Joyce and best wishes from everyone at Kaleida Health Laboratories.
