Honoring Service: Voices of Veterans at GLIN IPA
Tags

This Veterans Day, we proudly recognize the dedication and sacrifice of the veterans on our team. Their military service has shaped not only their personal journeys but also the strength and integrity they bring to GLIN IPA every day. We sat down with three of our colleagues, Jennifer Rhoney, Judith Rodriguez, and Tonja Keller, to hear their stories and reflections.

Jennifer Rhoney, MS, BSN, RN, Director, Care Management – Lt Col, United States Air Force Reserve

Now entering her 25th year of service, Jen Rhoney continues to serve in the Air Force Reserve as a Nurse Officer. Her dual roles in civilian healthcare and the military have enriched each other through shared training and experience.

"I am grateful for both the experiences and skill sets that my military service has provided me," Jen shares. "GLIN IPA has been unwavering in its support throughout my tenure, allowing me to continue serving with pride."

Judith Rodriguez, Care Manager RN – Medical Service Specialist, United States Air Force Reserve

Judy Rodriguez served during the Gulf War, where she was deployed as a Medical Service Specialist. Her time in the Air Force left a lasting impact.

"You cannot have an experience such as that in your life without it changing you forever," Judy says. "My military service opened doors for me and my family, and I will always be grateful for the valuable lessons that I acquired while serving. I learned to lead, take initiative, and always lend a hand. I challenge myself daily to be the best I can be."

Tonja Keller, Quality Outreach Coordinator – United States Air Force

Tonja Keller’s six years in the Air Force included a deployment to Afghanistan in 2010 and a posting in Japan during the 2011 tsunami. These intense experiences taught her resilience and teamwork.

"I learned to stay calm under pressure, trust those around me, and focus on the mission," Tonja reflects. "Those lessons stayed with me and, at GLIN IPA, they help me manage time effectively and maintain high-quality work."

We thank Jen, Judy, and Tonja for their service, courage, and continued contributions to our community. Your stories inspire us every day.
