Helen Brady is retiring from her job at Kaleida Health Laboratories after 46 years of service.
She started work in the blood bank at Buffalo General Medical Center in 1978, held a supervisor position from 1983 - 1988 while there and has been with the blood bank her entire career. Additionally, Helen holds a Specialist in Blood Bank (SBB) certification, and with her talent for education she provided training to CLS students, pathology residents and new employees.
She plans to continue being active with her volunteer work for Explore Buffalo as a tour docent, with Babel at the Just Buffalo Literacy Center and at the Visitor Bureau of Niagara. Recently, Helen has also signed on to be a volunteer at the Buffalo History Museum.
In her retirement she plans to travel with her husband, Kevin, and spend more time with her three children and two grandchildren.
