Please join us on Facebook for this month's Healthy U community education class on Wednesday, November 23, at noon. As the number of cancer survivors continues to grow, it is important to offer programs and resources to help these individuals stay healthy and cancer free. An important patient resource is a survivorship care plan, which is a record of a patient’s treatment history that offers suggestions for check-ups and follow-ups. This tool as well as other cancer survivorship resources and services will be discussed by Great Lakes Cancer Collaborative Oncology Survivorship Program Manager Melissa Bekelja Wanzer, EdD, as a way to help cancer patients navigate the “new normal.”
