Progress continues on the project to update the automation line at the Center for Laboratory Medicine on Flint Road. The Abbott Alinity i immunoassay analyzer and Alinity c clinical chemistry analyzer have been installed and are operational as of September of this year.
Alinity i and c analyzers have been on line at the Medical Campus Essential Services Laboratory since late winter. Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital will have its own up and running later this month.
The Alinity i immunoassay analyzer utilizes proven CHEMIFLEX chemiluminescent detection technology with an assay design free from biotin interference to provide greater confidence in results. The Alinity c clinical chemistry analyzer maximizes testing throughput with high-quality assays to deliver efficient and accurate results for greater productivity.
The automated line currently being installed at Flint has a tentative go live date of January 2023. The new line will provide streamlined testing for chemistry and immunology testing utilizing the new Alinity analyzers; hematology testing using the Sysmex analyzers; coagulation testing using the Stago analyzers; and allergy testing using the Phadia analyzer.
