Decorate a bulletin board or create a poster to celebrate the amazing things that are part of black history. The goal of this competition is to highlight the black community's contributions, culture and impact on the world.
- All employees and providers are encouraged to participate.
- Posters or bulletin boards may be submitted individually or as a group.
- Groups should include no more than 8 people.

Wednesday,February 8, 2023Monday, February 13, 2023 - Posters/bulletin board submissions will be shared on KaleidaScope and the DEI Channel on KaleidaConnect.
Submit a photo of your poster or bulletin board along with the Submission Form to DEIdepartment@kaleidahealth.org. (Click on the link below to download the form.) Photo submissions will not be accepted if they are not accompanied by a submission form.
The DIRE Employee Resource Group members will select up to five winners from all participating Kaleida Health sites. Winners will be announced on Tuesday, February 28, 2023. All winners will be highlighted on Kaleida Health's social media platforms. The DIRE ERG will be sponsoring a team lunch for all winners from a local black-owned restaurant.
Your Black History Month decorations will be judged by the following criteria:
- Theme: To what extent does the display promote an awareness of Black History?
- Design: Is the display original? Are resources creatively utilized by the group?
- Education: Does the display teach the viewer something new about black history and culture?
- Accessibility: Does the display promote engagement across multiple education levels? Does it take language barriers into account?
