Congratulations to Robin Banks, point of care supervisor, Monica Perez, clinical services and Robert Russ, materials handler, on their retirement with Kaleida Health Laboratories.
In 1987, Robin accepted a new role at was DeGraff Memorial Hospital where she spent the next 38 years at Kaleida Health servicing the community.
While working the bench in the laboratory, Robin showed great dedication to providing exceptional patient care. Robin was known for her attention to detail and maintaining a high standard in everything she accomplished. Later in her career, she earned a well-deserved promotion to become a senior technologist. During the final four years of her vocation at Kaleida Health, she transitioned to the role point of care supervisor. She helped successfully convert DeGraff Medical Park to a Point of Care only laboratory and was instrumental in implementing their extensive test menu.
Outside of work, Robin will remain active in her church, emergency disaster relief training and heading bingo nights at the Sanborn Fire Company, where she has been part of their band since 1979. She will be taking on the role of fulltime grandmother to her six grandchildren.
After an incredible 47 years, Monica is retiring, marking the end of an extraordinary chapter filled with dedication, hard work and invaluable experience. She’s been here through it all, watching the company grow and change over the decades. She’s been the go-to person in client services and contributed to the evolution through countless changes and milestones.
The opening of Flint Road and the original go-live of Cerner are just a few of these changes. Monica began her laboratory career in client services and then went to processing. After many years, she returned to client services.
Robert
is retiring after 15 years of service in the Materials Department. His efficiency in managing inventory and overseeing the Center for Laboratory Medicine warehouse has played a vital role in keeping our operations running smoothly. We are especially grateful for Robert's dedication to creating a safe and productive environment for everyone in the laboratory. We will also miss our number one ConnectLife blood donor.
We thank Robin, Monica and Robert for their years of service, and their commitment to providing exceptional care to our community. Best wishes for a happy and fulfilling retirement!
