“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.”
While Accounts Payable Office Coordinator Sally Regan-O'Brien does not see patients or correspond with them or their families, she demonstrates the C.A.R.E. values to her peers and managers every day.
She is extremely punctual and follows through quickly on tasks. She will also take it upon herself to circle back on outstanding matters and does everything within her scope to facilitate excellent and timely results, often going above and beyond.
She is regarded as one of the most valuable members on the accounts payable team – so much so that when she is out for vacation, the entire team feels the pain of her absence. She is one of the most cheerful and pleasant people to work with, never having a sour attitude or an “it’s not my job” mentality. Many people throughout Kaleida Health who have had the chance to work with Sally have come back to department leadership to say what a help she was, and a delight to work with.
Sally was recruited to help in the roll-out of Ephesoft, crucial software that is needed to get invoices out in a timely fashion. As a subject matter expert, she took on the challenge of learning the new software, helping to set up the many rules and testing along the way. She is now an administrator for the system and helps the entire team with any issues they have using it.
She is the go-to person for all kinds of help and even if it is not in her job description she still goes above and beyond to help. She cares deeply about the organization and no matter what she is always positive and upbeat. In her nomination form, a manager quoted Aristotle: “We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence then, is not an act, but a habit.” Sally’s work is at this level of excellence.
Thank you, Sally, for all you do in caring for others. We are proud to name you the 2024 Employee of the Year for Larkin at Exchange.
