From her nomination:
Tammie is the project lead on our instructor-led new hire orientation program. When the decision was made to move to a weekly general orientation, Tammie willingly accepted the project and worked diligently to create a program that incorporates relevant content, engaging activities and a welcoming environment for new hires. This involved research and coordination among various departments, not to mention the time she took to train her colleagues on the program.
Her facilitation skills are excellent, and she stresses the importance of employees' roles as healthcare workers to put our patients and families first. She takes her own role very seriously, understanding that the better she prepares new hires for their positions, the better care our patients will receive. She embraces Kaleida Heallth's Mission, Vision and Values and works to elevate the patient experience.
