Introducing the 2025 Power 100 Business Leaders of Color
By Michelle Cioci Adams – Editor-in-Chief, Buffalo Business First
Sep 11, 2025
Welcome to the fourth annual Power 100 Business Leaders of Color.
Today we celebrate the men and women on this list who have risen to the top as leaders of Western New York companies and organizations. They foster creativity and inclusion in their organizations, act as role models for future generations and recognize that diverse viewpoints breed success.
For four decades, we at Buffalo Business First have been watching — and writing about — powerful business leaders throughout the region. In 2013, we launched the annual Power 250. In 2016, we added the Power 100 (now 200) Women.
Why do we have three separate lists? Many people appear on all three, after all. Men and women from underrepresented groups continue to face additional barriers on the way to the boardroom, from access to capital to a lack of relationships with those already in power to biases, unconscious and otherwise.
Watch for more to come about the business leaders on this list, along with our annual ranking, in early November online and in the paper.
