Community Health Improvement Week is a time to honor those working in partnership to improve the health and well-being of individuals and communities and advance health equity.
Get ready! Get involved! Get inspired!

For more than a decade, the American Hospital Association and AHA Community Health Improvement (ACHI) Community Health Improvement Week has highlighted and elevated the commitment and work of community and population health leaders and their local partners.
Community health improvement is a collaborative effort aimed at enhancing the well-being of a population within a specific geographic location. It involves a range of strategies and initiatives designed to address various health determinants, such as access to health care, social and economic factors, environmental conditions, and individual behaviors.
Through partnerships between government agencies, healthcare providers, non-profit organizations, businesses and community members, community health improvement initiatives strive to promote preventive healthcare measures, increase health literacy, foster healthy lifestyles and reduce health disparities.
By empowering individuals and communities to take ownership of their health and providing them with the resources and support they need, community health improvement contributes to building healthier, more resilient societies.
