Kaleida Health has named a new chief financial officer, filling a spot left vacant this summer through another promotion.
Hugh Chisholm, who begins in his new role Oct. 18, was recruited as executive vice president and CFO from Rochester Regional Health, where he serves currently as senior vice president and CFO of acute care hospitals.
He takes the place of Matthew Drake, who is transitioning from CFO into his new role as Kaleida’s EVP of strategy and partnerships. Drake joined Kaleida in 2021, also coming over from the $3 billion Rochester Regional health system.
That's also the system where Kaleida's last CEO came from: Robert Nesselbush joined Kaleida in early 2019 as chief financial officer, then moved into the CEO post in late 2020 during the pandemic. He retired last summer, with Don Boyd shifting into the CEO spot.
Chisholm brings 11 years of experience in hospital finance, starting in 2012 as director of accounting and financial reporting at the Rochester system.
He previously spent six years in auditing roles with the accounting firm Fust Charles and Chambers in Syracuse and holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from St. John Fisher College.
