Carolyne Bukenya has been named vice president of data strategy and analytics for Kaleida Health.
In her new role, Bukenya will be responsible for the development and implementation of the organization's data and AI strategy, oversight of data governance, and leading analytics and reporting functions. She will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and partners to identify opportunities for leveraging data for improved patient care, operational efficiencies, innovative research studies and financial performance.
Bukenya spent nearly two decades of her career in advanced data analytics, fostering innovation and a culture of data-driven decision-making across organizations. With nearly 10 years in the healthcare industry, she has worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas City and Spring Venture Group.
Holding a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Missouri, Bukenya is now pursuing her PhD in Biostatistics. Her research focuses on population health, Medicare and Medicaid populations, and the application of AI in health care with the aim of using data to improve lives, influence health policies, and create a healthier future.
