Buffalo Business First: Meet 2022's C-Level Executives Award winners

Twenty executives from some of the region's largest companies and nonprofit organizations have been named honorees of the 2022 C-Level Executives Awards.

The 11th annual awards, which are hosted by Business First and sponsored by Harter Secrest & Emery LLP, Northwest Bank and Walsh Duffield Companies, recognize Western New York’s most effective business leaders.

Including this year’s class, 222 people have been recognized since the C-Level awards began in 2012.

The 2022 honorees are:

  • Jody Briandi, president & managing partner, Hurwitz Fine P.C.
  • Trina Burruss, chief operating officer, United Way of Buffalo & Erie County
  • Michael Cournyea, CEO, University at Buffalo, Department of Neurosurgery
  • Jason Crane, senior vice president of legal and general counsel, Seneca Gaming Corp.
  • Andrew Davis, chief operating officer, Erie County Medical Center
  • Richard Dixon, CEO, County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency
  • Kelly Dumas, chief operating officer, BestSelf Behavioral Health Inc.
  • Frank Ewing, CEO, AML RightSource
  • Elizabeth Gurney, director corporate philanthropy, KeyBank NA
  • Lisa Haglund, president and CEO, Heritage Ministries
  • Donald Ingalls, vice president, government affairs, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield of Western New York
  • Allegra Jaros, president, John R. Oishei Children's Hospital, Kaleida Health
  • David Kersten, CEO, OLV Charities
  • Walter Ludwig, president, Kenmore Mercy Hospital, Catholic Health
  • James McGuire, CEO, McGuire Development Co.
  • Thomas Quinn, CEO, Western New York Impact Investment Fund
  • John Sanderson, founder and chairman, Sanderson Wealth Management LLC
  • Scott Wayman, CEO, Kangarootime
  • John Yurtchuk, chairman, Calspan Corp.


The winners will be honored Thursday, Oct. 13, at the Forbes Theater at 500 Pearl, Buffalo.

Rhonda Frederick, CEO of People Inc., will be inducted into the Western New York Business Hall of Fame during the C-Level awards dinner.
