Andrew Brennan, MHSA, has been named vice president and chief financial officer (CFO), site financial operations for Kaleida Health.
In this role, Brennan will provide overall financial leadership for the various operating entities and divisions within Kaleida Health, working to ensure Kaleida Health achieves overall financial performance and operational targets. Brennan will partner with affiliate and site finance leads to promote standardization and consistency throughout the system in reporting, analysis, and margin improvement initiatives.
He will be responsible for developing and implementing an operational plan that drives the annual budget process, as well as working with divisional leaders on adherence to the budget plan and implementation of corrective actions. In addition, Brennan will support the provision of financial education and leadership to hospital managers and directors, contribute financial expertise in strategic planning of new services, and find efficiency opportunities within current expense structures. He will continue in his role as the finance lead for the Cost Transformation Initiative/Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) and lead the role out of Kaleida Health's new budget and financial performance management suite, Strata.
Most recently, Brennan has served as senior director of financial planning and analysis for Kaleida Health, leading the team responsible for the annual budget process, decision support, and business planning, and the team will continue to report to Andrew.
Brennan joined Kaleida Health in 2016 and began his career with the system as a business advisor at Oishei Children’s Hospital before moving to a system role as director of revenue analysis and then director of financial planning and analysis. Prior to Kaleida Health, he worked for HealthNow New York (now Highmark BCBS of WNY) and United Health Group.
He has a Bachelor of Science in Health and Wellness Management from the State University of New York at Oswego and a Master of Health Services Administration from D’Youville University. Additionally, he has a certificate in Accounting from Daemen University.
