Flags of Honor have been swaying calmly on the front lawns of Bradford Regional Medical Center (BRMC) and Olean General Hospital (OGH) since May 17, representing a family member, friend or neighbor who has or is serving in the military.
More than 130 flags were purchased for $5. Proceeds at BRMC supported the Bradford Hospital Foundation’s armed services fund. While proceeds generated at OGH supported the OGH Auxiliary, which helps support the hospital's mission and ongoing purposes.
The flags will remain on the front lawns through Memorial Day.
"This program is a great tribute to our local military members and always generates a great response from our communities,” said Stacy Williams, executive director, Bradford Hospital Foundation.
