Matthew T. Binkley, MD, orthopaedic surgeon, has been named medical director of
Orthopaedic Surgery at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital (MFSH). Dr. Binkley joined the Kaleida Health medical staff in 2018.
Dr. Binkley will be stepping into the role that has been held for many years by Dr. Thomas Lombardo, Jr. Dr. Lombardo will maintain an active role at MFSH in mentoring and supporting Dr. Binkley, as well as leading other important surgical initiatives.
Dr. Binkley received his medical degree from Wright State Boonshoft School of Medicine in Dayton, Ohio. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at University at Buffalo Jacobs School of Medicine & Biomedical Sciences and a shoulder and elbow fellowship at Johns Hopkins University.
In his new role, Dr. Binkley will serve as the physician leader for orthopaedic surgery at MFSH to ensure the service is aligned with the hospital’s strategic priorities and quality initiatives that promote the safest care and excellent outcomes for our patients.
Dr. Binkley is a candidate member of the Society of the American Shoulder and Elbow and American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons Society. He is also a member of the New York State Society of Orthopaedic Surgeons and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.
