Congratulations to Theresa Saunders, RN, special procedures nurse in the imaging department, who was named the Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute Employee of the Month for June 2021.
According to the co-worker who nominated her, "Theresa treats all her patients with an amazing level of care, and she is a pleasure to work with."
Theresa went above and beyond her role and work day to accommodate a family with a special needs adult family member who had been waiting for over a year for a specific test. Theresa spent several hours during and after her work day speaking with a parent who was trying to coordinate with anesthesia, managers, other nurses and the MRI department to make sure the patient was taken care of the next day. The mother was incredibly grateful for Theresa's professionalism and caring approach.
