Congratulations to Lynette McMullen, RN first assistant in the OR, who was named the Buffalo General Medical Center/Gates Vascular Institute Employee of the Month for April 2021.
"To say that she is the most dedicated worker in the OR is an understatement," said her nominator. "She consistently demonstrates an extremely high level of compassion in helping patients any way she can, going above and beyond what is required of her job. She puts patient and family interests ahead of everything, even her own personal interests. There have been innumerable occasions when she happily and without a question volunteered to stay back and help get a case done so that patient care was not delayed. She always volunteers to come in on days she is not working or holidays to facilitate patient care in the OR."
The nominator continued, "She is the best at what she does as she is always involved in improving herself and trying to be a better version of herself."
