Abdur Khan, MD, Retires

Congratulations to Abdur Khan, MD, on his retirement after 20 years of service with the UBMD Pathology department and Kaleida Health Laboratories.

Throughout his career, Dr. Khan was a dedicated member of the staff at the former Women & Children’s Hospital of Buffalo and, most recently, at Oishei Children’s Hospital, where he was the Assistant Medical Director. He also actively participated in multiple Pediatric Tumor Boards.

Dr. Khan completed his medical education at Khyber Medical College in Peshawar before moving to the United States, where he completed residencies in Nuclear Medicine at John Hopkins and Anatomic Pathology at the University at Buffalo. He went on to complete fellowships in Pediatric Pathology and Nuclear Medicine. After practicing in Saudi Arabia for 14 years, Dr. Khan returned to Buffalo in 2,000 to begin his residency in Clinical Pathology. In 2004, he later joined the UBMD Pathology department as an attending pediatric pathologist.
