- "Linzy consistently shows up for work with a positive attitude, giving the best possible care to her patients while supporting her team. She is a strong advocate for what she believes in, supporting her patients through competent care and appropriate delegation of tasks. She does what is right, always following policy and procedure, and escalating needs appropriately. She is patient centered by engaging her patients in their own decision-making process and allowing family members to be a part of that as well. She is a great listener and is always willing to help with whatever needs to be done in the best interest of others."

Patient-centered care is always her top priority, and she advocates for what is in the best interest of her patients. Her clinical judgement and commitment to doing the right thing every time, sets a standard of excellence within our department. In addition to her bedside excellence, she fills in as charge nurse when needed- providing leadership, fairness and always supporting the team. She leads with respect and accountability, helping to maintain patient flow and team morale during high-pressure situations. What truly sets her apart is her positive presence. She starts each shift with a smile, remains consistently respectful and is always willing to help her coworkers - most times without even being asked. Her teamwork, reliability and genuine kindness make her someone others can look up to and trust. Linzy truly represents the values of Kaleida and represents the very best of Emergency Nursing.”
Beyond her role in the Emergency Department:
In addition to being an excellent nurse, Linzy values her family over everything. She has two children very active in soccer, hockey and dance whom she is always present for. When her childcare needs changed this year due to illness, Linzy made the difficult choice to give up her day shift to accommodate her children's schedules and the needs of her family. When her family member needed treatments, Linzy learned how to provide them to save her loved one added stress and additional medical visits. When Linzy's family needs her, she's always willing to make a sacrifice to ease their burden.
Whether in the Emergency Department or at home, Linzy is always caring for others and goes out of her way to make things better with calmness and compassion for everyone around her.
